Privacy Policy

This policy covers JITO Youth Jaipur (“we”, “us”), a youth wing of the Jain International Trade Organisation operating in Jaipur, and explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data submitted through this website — including membership applications, event registrations, and contact/enquiry forms — in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

When you apply for membership, we collect:

• Identity and contact details — name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, email, residence and office address
• Family and background details — father’s/husband’s name, marital status, mother tongue, native place
• Government-issued identity documents — PAN number and document, Aadhar number and document (front and back), a residence proof document, your photo, and your signature
• Professional details — education, occupation, company, industry, and areas of interest
• Referral details, if you were referred by an existing member
• Event RSVPs and, for approved members, attendance and participation history

We only ask for what the membership approval process actually needs. Government ID numbers and documents are collected specifically to verify identity before a membership application is approved.

We use this information to:

• Verify your identity and review your membership application
• Communicate with you about your application, membership, and events
• Manage event registrations, RSVPs, and attendance
• Maintain our official membership records, including for reporting to JITO’s apex body where required
• Show approved members their own activity (e.g. events attended) on their profile

We do not sell your personal data, ever.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when submitting the membership application form (or other forms on this site). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at info@jitoyouthjaipur.com; withdrawing consent may mean we’re unable to continue processing your application or membership.

We use third-party service providers to run this website and do not share your data with anyone else without your knowledge:

• Supabase — hosts our database and securely stores uploaded documents (photo, ID proofs, signature)
• Resend — sends you transactional emails (application received, approval status, event updates)

These providers process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. We may also share membership records with JITO’s apex body for official reporting purposes.

We retain membership records for as long as you remain a member and for a reasonable period afterward for our own records and legal/reporting obligations. If your application is rejected or you withdraw consent, we will delete or anonymize your personal data and uploaded documents within a reasonable time, except where we’re required to keep it for legal reasons.

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data
• Withdraw consent and ask us to erase your data, subject to any legal retention obligations
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity
• Raise a grievance about how we’ve handled your data

Your data is stored with access-controlled infrastructure. Government ID documents are kept in a private storage area that only authorized administrators can access — they are never publicly accessible. We restrict access to personal data to admins who need it to review applications or manage membership.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
